About Dr. Ayelet Goldman-Riddle

Dr. Ayelet Goldman, Doctor of Oriental Medicine (D.O.M), has over thirty years of extensive clinical experience in the effective treatment of various disorders and diseases through the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practices of Touch, Acupuncture and Herbal Therapy.

A graduate of the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, with a B.A in Biology in 1987, she moved to Toronto, Canada where she studied at the Shiatsu School of Canada, completing a 2200 hour Shiatsu program from which she graduated with honours in 1990. After graduating, she remained at the school as a member of the Academic Faculty.

While teaching at the Shiatsu School, she studied Acupuncture under Dr. Zhou Quanfu, a nationally recognized expert in Oriental Medicine and former President of The Canadian Society of Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture.

Returning to Israel in 1995, she entered private practice in Haifa, specializing in pain management.

In 2008, Ayelet enrolled in a training program with the China Academy of Chinese Medicine Sciences in Beijing, and completed a 1500 hours program in Traditional Chinese Medicine theory and practice. As part of this program, she entered an internship at the Wangjing Hospital in Beijing, China, where she studied and worked with Traditional & Western Chinese doctors in both the out-patient and in-patient departments of the hospital.

With this foundation, she commenced her Doctorate program with the Alternative Medicine College of Canada, presenting her dissertation on The Role of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Cancer Patient Care and was conferred as a Doctor of Oriental Medicine (D.O.M) in January 2010.

Dr. Ayelet Goldman is a member of the Israeli Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine and The American Alternative Medical Association (AAMA). She has also served as part of the teaching team and Director of the Shiatsu program in the External Department of Western Galilee College in Israel and is a former chairperson of the Shiatsu Therapy Association of Israel.

As a recognized authority on the Holistic Approach to Chronic Pain she regularly lectures to both local and international audiences of medical professionals.

Clarification: Dr. Ayelet Goldman is a Doctor of Oriental Medicine (D.O.M) and not a Medical Doctor (MD). Receiving treatments from her does not wave the need (if there is any) to visit a Western Medicine Physician and not seeing one is the sole decision and responsibility of the patient. Any changes to recommendations made by Western Physicians should be made in coordination with them, including changes to medications, follow-up tests or any other recommendations.
